Admission criteria

- University degree (BSc pre-Bologna or BSc-Bologna with Master or equivalent, total of 5 years of academic education) in the following areas: Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, and similar. Minimal classification for admission: 14 (scale 0-20) or B (rank from A to F) in the BSc. For those with a grade below 14, a scientific output (published paper or book chapter) is needed for eligibility.

Candidates with academic degrees obtained abroad will be obliged to present the records of recognition of those degrees and conversion of the respective final grades to the Portuguese classification scale (whenever the foreign degree has been given a final classification), issued by the Direção Geral do Ensino Superior or by a Portuguese higher education institution (a process regulated by Decreto-Lei nº 341/2007, of October 12th) or, alternatively, to present the document of recognition / equivalence of the foreign qualifications to the corresponding qualifications issued by a Portuguese public higher education institution (a process regulated by Decreto-Lei nº283/83 of June 21st).

 

- Research experience, either during their master thesis or after graduation, preferably 1 year of experience in molecular and cell biology.

 

- Proficiency in English.
